Regardless of the settings it gets way too hot and will burn delicates and blankets. Especially fleece style blankets. The greater in the back where the heat comes in gets super hot a clothes will literally leave scorched remnants on it. It does dry super fast though lol

Great warranty, will last me for the rest of my life. . . But, water level can't be adjusted. . . I live in an area that is in serious drought and while there are only two of us in the household there is no need to use so much water. Water here is precious, many wells have gone dry and they are using only what drops out of the sky, and that isn't much. It has taken me time to get used to all of the settings.

Happy to buy & support American-made. It does come with a high price tag though. It does a great job drying. Fast and quiet. The only thing I don't like is that the inside smells like BO. It smelled like this before we used it, just out of the box. I was hoping it would wear off with use, but it still smells. I don't think it is affecting the clothes luckily. I'm hoping it will still fade away.

I am pleased with the performance and quality of my new Speed Queen washer and dryer set. After owning only Maytag products for 58 years, I never thought I would purchase anything else! But if I may suggest a couple changes, it would be to add the choice of another water level to the washer, and timed dryer choices from 0 - 60 mins. We purchased these products on the recommendations of my granddaughter and our supplier.

All is good. Regarding the dryer, I noticed it makes a bit of noise when drying. However, it does dry exceptionally well. Is this normal? I am always conscientious about noises, whether something is coming apart or breaking.

I waited years to purchase a new washer and dryer and my research said Speed Queen was the best. They were expensive but I thought they would be worth the investment. The washer is great. The dryer is a total lemon. When I first used it in August, it was so loud and would revive up like a jet engine. I've had two service calls on it and thought it was fixed. Tech said lots of loose parts which he tried to tightened up. It's better but now there is a squeaking noise. I truly believe I have been delivered a defective dryer. What a disappointment!

Unfortunately, my new speed queen continues to leak randomly from underneath the machine. A technician was called out twice, but it did not leak when he was here. It does this randomly and we don't know why.

I will be completely honest here. I purchased the set because of Speed Queens reputation. Once purchased, I started following a SQ group on FB and the remarks scared me to death. Mostly, the drier, burnt many of the users clothes. Fast forward, it took 4 months from purchase to receive the set, because I was told SQ is 60% of their business. I was thrilled to finally get the set and it actually had water in the washer. I had begun to think my body stunk sometimes after wearing my clothes all day. Since I have gotten the new set, my clothes smell wonderful at the end of the day and I no longer think it is me that smelled. Whoever came up with a stupid idea that a cup of water here and there tumbling over and over gets clothes clean should be made to wear their clothes for a month at a time. I had started stripping my laundry every couple months by putting them in a tub of water with oxi-clean and the water would turn disgusting brown from all the dirt coming out of them. I am a 73 year old woman, so you know I am not rolling in the dirt daily or even weekly. The drier I started out pretty easy with. Lowest settings, lowest temp and built up to a normal setting, but this is for normal clothes. If I had something I was afraid would burn in the drier; I would hang it to dry so I can't say whether the burning of clothes was with older models or newer ones. All I can say is I SMELL darn good!!!!

The right side panel was pushed in on delivery. When I turned on the dryer the bent panel was rubbing the drum. The dealer I purchased from refunded me 10% and said they would send a replacement part so I can use the dryer. That was 23 days ago. I can't use it so I can't give a rating

Suggestion to Speed Queen: Listen to customers feedback regarding the Cycle Selection knob. The selection knob does need updated so that it has the ability to be rotated both clockwise and counter clockwise. For no other reason than to ensure the dryer will not stay continuously running!!

Speed Queen dryer got it all set up and leveled been using it for a month now. When starting the dryer it bangs around sounds horrible after it warms up it gets quieter. The next day after it's cool again starts banging around again. The two screws that hold on the heat screen on the back are not countersink so close get stuck on them and melt.

I was looking to buy one of the Speed Queen Dryer in the future and was talking with my daughter and her washer & Dryer broke and was going to a laundry mat 2 a week. So I was going to gift her my own units and buy my very 1st Speed Queen set. Than my Mother found out and surprised me with a matching set. I love the construction and durability of my new speed queen dryer, but the thing I love the most is how the lint trap is screwed and sealed into the frame - NO lint gets by to sneak into the exhaust or the body of the dryer. I feel so much safer knowing there's no lint piling up in a sneaky space creating a fire hazard.

We had an LG dryer for the last 8 years. It was fine. But this one is great. What's so great about it? First, it doesn't have electronic controls. It had knobs you turn, which means less worry about electronics going bad or being finicky. Second, it hooks up to your washer's water line, so if you forget your clothes in the dryer for awhile, your refresh is a steam refresh - like you just dried them. Third, the drum is huge and lighted. You open the door and voila! Light fills the drum. It's so easy to see clothes. I love the lint tray too. It's easy to access and clean, and made well so that lint doesn't escape around the edges. I live this dryer so much! And it's made in the USA!!

My husband and I are happy so far with our dryer. We are still learning what settings are best for each type of load. For example, towels took more than 30 minutes to dry so next time we will put it on for 60 minutes or try the Dry and extended tumble with 30 minutes.

Loving my new washer! It is so easy to use, but so efficient, as well!! Generally, I like our new dryer. However, when I put a mixed load in to dry (bed sheets and terrycloth towels), I find that when the cycle ends the sheets are dry, but the heavier towels are still damp. I would like to be able to set the dial to more dry/less dry, but I can't. Also, the steam control and end of cycle signal are controlled by the same button, the manual does not address how this button works!

Two years ago bought a new Maytag dryer. Two major repairs in two years--main board, that sort of thing, with eight day delay until service call could be accomplished even under warranty. Said heck with it and bought Speed Queen dryer. It has been great so far; hope it lasts 25 years--if so, it will outlive me!

It's a beast! She doesn't play around…gets that dirty laundry done. My last machine used about a cup of water for a big load of towels so I just kept hitting the button to start it over and it took a whopping three hours to do a load of towels. I wish I would've bought a speed queen a long time ago would've saved me time and money. A speed queen is made top-notch just like they used to make them back in the day. My clothes are so clean and smell so much fresher now. Thank you!

This dryer has exceeded my expectations of drying my washed clothing and such!
The built-in light that comes on when you open the door (which is adaptable to be mounted as a left-side opens or as a right-side opens) - is really helpful. The dryer is very quiet while operating, too.
