I purchased this unit as a room chiller, it pulls little amps an is VERY energy efficient. It holds the temperature within 3 degrees. An excellent unit!

I bought this one as a replacement for a Frigidaire that lasted just over 10 years. I hope this one last at least that long. I really like the Wi-Fi feature and the Frigidaire app.

AC was bought coz it has WiFi but it does not connect to the iPhone app. I am a software engineer and could not figureout upon multiple trials. Totally bad and un informed customer service who use same pre written script. Don™™t buy products from FRIGIDAIRE, since if you encounter a problem they usually have no solution.

I bought a new A/C 18,000BTU Frigidaire MODEL: FHWW184WE2, SN: KK40802342 on July 4, 2024 from Home Depot. I picked it up on July 12, 2024 and Installed it in a thru-wall installation on July 27, 2024. It cooled fine and I was happy with it until I tried to connect my WiFi to it. It was July 28, 2024 when I first tried to connect to my home WiFi. I downloaded the Frigidaire App from Apple App Store and followed the directions as presented by the App. I got to the point in the App where it said ™Communicating with the Appliance, this may take several minutes.™ There was the little spinning circle on my iPhone and it kept spinning and spinning and spinning. Finally, a red circle with an X appeared and it threw the Error Code ECPA001, that said ™Can™™t communicate with appliance WiFi assist is preventing the app from communicating with the appliance. To disable WiFi assist, go to Settings>Cellular™. Well, I disabled WiFI Assist and tried again. Now it started giving me ™Something went wrong Reset the appliance and start again Error Code ECPA007™. No explanation of what the error code meant. So, I called the number provided, (800) 374-4432 and was on hold 8 minutes before someone answered. I spoke to this person with a very heavy accent and as he was looking up my problem, the phone went dead, disconnected. So, I called back and was on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up on this day. I tried several more times to try to connect my iPhone to the A/C with the App. Each attempt all came back with the same Error Code, ECPA007. I deleted and re-downloaded the Frigidaire App and tried again several times. It still did not connect always the same ECPA007 error code. On Thursday, August 8, 2024 I tried to connect again and got the same error code ECPA007. I again called Customer Support and spoke to someone named Larz. Larz wanted my Model and Serial number which I provided. Larz had me go through the same things that I had done previously about 10-15 times with no different outcome. To me it seemed obvious that Larz was reading from a prepared script and knew nothing about the WiFi or the App. After about 30 minutes, Larz transferred me to another person, Margaret who would know more about the issue. I gave Margaret the Model and SN again and she took me through all the same steps that Larz had me do and that I had done before maybe 20+ times. The outcome was no different. Same Error Codes ECPA001 and ECPA007. Margaret suggested that she would get together with a team of people and have a solution for me and call me the next day, Friday, August 9, 2024. I received no return call with a solution, and it is now Saturday, August 17, 2024. Larz had suggested that I try connecting with an Android phone which I could not do at the time because I don™™t have and Android phone. This past Sunday, August 11, 2024 my son came over with his Android phone and on the first attempt, was able to connect to the AC through my home WiFi and at least Power On and Power Off the AC from his phone. So, I now know it is not my home WiFi that is the problem, but an issue with the App and iPhone combination. Monday, August 12, 2024. Spoke to Kaji. He was no help. He was again trying to diagnose from prewritten script. I was then passed on to Christian (800) 311-4667 who was supposed to be a WiFi knowledgeable person. He could not help either even though I explained that the Android phone would connect and the iPhone would not connect. Again. He seemed to be following a prewritten script for troubleshooting rather than really listening to my symptoms and diagnosing from the information I gave him. I also gave him the Model and SN of the AC and the iPhone IOS Version # 17.6.1 and the Frigidaire App Version # 2.23. He made and sent a Ticket # INC 7425122 upstream from him for resolution. Christian is supposed to call me back with a resolution. He could not give me an estimate of the time involved for the resolution. He would not pass me on to talk to someone more knowledgeable. He could not, or would not tell me if other iPhone users are having the same issue as me. As of today Saturday 8/17/24 Christian has not called me back.August 13, 2024. Since talking to Christian, I got the idea to try to connect an older iPhone 8 with an earlier IOS Version 16.1.1 and this iPhone was able to connect and control the AC. Still have the problem with my iPhone 14 Pro and IOS version 17.6.1 and no resolution from Frigidaire.

Replaced a very old unit , this AC has nice features, such as app on phone to control all settings and on/off. Has cooled my downstairs effectively . Like the dry setting option, which also seems to cool room some when running in this mode. Overall happy with purchase.

I bought this a few weeks ago, and it's been fantastic! It cools off a 500 sq ft room quickly and operates very quietly. Super easy to use, too. I opted for paid installation, and everything went smoothly. The store on campus is fantastic!
