I purchased this without ever using induction. It's a great stove/range - easy to care for, very light finger pressure to turn cooktop on/off & adjust temp. The convention bake is a true convection - meaning cook time will be reduced. I have owned 2 other Frigidaire gallery ranges, those both gas, lasting over 30 years. I'm looking forward to many years with this Frigidaire.

The only negative that I have found is that it™€™s easy to make the stove beep my leaning against the digital controls. It doesn™€™t turn on anything accidentally but does beep.

Great value, small burners

This replaced a fancy almost 4k GE induction range, which broke after only 6 years. Same with our fancy washer, so we are done with expensive appliances. The only thing I knew I didn't want to compromise on was induction. This one is simple otherwise, but has everything we need. The oven is very large, heats up very quickly and has broil, convection, bake and keep warm settings. There is a delay setting, but for bake only and 1 hour only. There is a self clean function, but no high/medium/light option and no steam clean. No temperature probe, but I hardly used mine in the GE because it was cumbersome to put in through the rack. The controls are easy, once you get used to having to hold them down. The controls are in front, but not on the cooking surface. This is marketed as a slide-in, but it doesn't have the typical hang over of the cooktop over the countertop. It's basically a free-standing range with front controls. They are somewhat sensitive, especially if you have a belly like me, but they can be locked. The burners have whole number settings, not 6.5 or 7.5, so not as fine-tuned, but sufficient for us. There are 4 burners; no 5th keep warm burner. The left ones can be set as a bridge for a griddle. All burners have a 10-minute power option. My biggest complaint, and why this range loses a star, is the size of the burners. They are ridiculously small. The biggest one is 9 inches. Half of my pots and pans are 10 and 12 inches. The manual specifically says not to use pans larger that the burner size. What if I want to make soup in my stock pot or a 1-pan meal in my sautee pan? Having All Clad 5-ply, I should hopefully be ok, since they conduct heat excellently. We've had it for only 2 weeks, and at this point, I would definitely buy it again and can recommend it to everyone, as long as they are OK with small burners an comfortable, like me, using pots larger than the burners.

Space allowed for plug at range rear is not deep enough for surface mounted plug outlets. Required turning plug face up for clearance. Continued operation of fan for oven use after oven shutdown not mentioned prominently in msnual. Did internet search to find this is normal operation

Range immediately not functional; one month later, Frigidaire has not fixed

My range has never worked correctly. Half of the range top does not work. The half that does is great, and the oven functionality is good. But my unit was not fully functional immediately after receiving it. I called Frigidaire the following day, 7/26, to begin repair/replacement services. It's now been over a month. It's taken 5 service calls (two no-shows, 3 with a tech actually arriving), and multiple hours on the phone with customer support. As things stand now, I'm told that the next necessary part (the 3rd one they've ordered) *may* arrive in the next 5-7 business days. They are refusing replacement because there hasn't been enough time elapsed? And when asked to expedite delivery of the new part (ordered 8/7, still not even in process on 8/28), they couldn't agree to do so. At this point, a 1k range has never functioned, I've stayed home waiting on service calls for about 16 hours total, and spent around 6 hours with support in one form or another.Induction is great, I hope to always use induction from now on. But I strongly recommend that other customers buy an induction range from a different company.

This is the best way to cook electrically! I love the instant temperature response on the cook top. It cooks anything at the temperature you want it to be--eggs, simmer sauces, boil water. You don't have to wait for what seems like forever for the top to cool down enough to wipe it clean--when the dishes are done, so is cleaning the cook top. I absolutely love it!

Induction is fast for sure. The cooktop doesn™€™t get as hot as the radiant glass top stoves. The reason I™€™m giving this stove 1 star is that the burner we use the most, the right front, does not heat evenly. The back 1/3 of the burner gets most of the power, so food is always burning in that area, while the rest of the pan is cooler. It does this will all our pans, both new stainless steel, carbon steel, and the cast iron so we know it™€™s the stove. We have had two service calls, but all they did was adjust the position of the coils under the glass top. We would have returned this stove to Lowe™€™s, but we bought it on a Visa card and that gave us only 48 hours to return it. We missed that window. The front right burner is also small to begin with, at just over 8™€ diameter. My wife is so frustrated that I™€™m going to buy her a new range and kick this one to the curb. I would feel guilty selling it to anyone. It seems like good inductions stoves cost multiple thousands of dollar, so I guess you get what you pay for.

This is our first induction range, and we are very impressed! There™€™s a learning curve involved, but the adjustment is for good things, not bad. We bought new cookware, so that helps in the adjustment. I had known about induction ranges for years, but they were always out of our price range, but my son found this, and THD was running a great price, under a grand, so we decided it was time to take the leap. Besides the induction cooktop, the oven preheats rather quickly and seems to do a great job as well. The control panel is vertically oriented, not good for me, I™€™m 6™€™3™€, but my wife is 5™€™4™€ so it™€™s fine for her, and it™€™s very intuitive, it took no time to learn it. The built in safety features are nice as well. This Frigidaire range is sitting in a kitchen that™€™s had only Whirlpool appliances for forty years, I™€™m hoping it proves we made a good decision!

I am very happy I made this purchase. It is such a pleasure to cook on the range and bake in my new oven. The speed of the change in temps on the range is so fast. I love it. My only issues are with the operational interface. Timer should auto start once the amount of time has been set. Also, when the range is turned on and a pan detected, I should only need to hit the plus sign to start cooking on the chosen element. Too many extra steps

We've looked forward to this for many years, and we are not disappointed. After surviving an explosion with a gas range two decades ago, we have lived quite happily with an amazingly reliable ceramic-top electric range, but this is a real step up in convenience and responsiveness. The only thing we have had to learn is to not lean against the front control panel in order to avoid changing the heat settings.

Sensitive Buttons But Love Induction!

Really wanted induction and finally found this model with a small scratch on the front and a dent underneath in the drawer ™€“ perfect for me! My only issue thus far is the buttons are a bit sensitive, but hopefully I'll learn to stop leaning against it, and it does emit a faint high pitched noise when using the stove that is often covered by the sound of cooking once it warms up enough. Haven't used the oven yet but overall great range and big update for me.

Clean and easy to use

This is a great induction range. Easy to use - user friendly, smooth looking, and very safe. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it makes clicking sounds while cooking. Almost like the magnet or whatever is under the glass top vibrates or something. Other than that, it heats quick and seems to cook evenly. We use the Hexclad pans and they work great with this range. The other thing is the stainless steel seems to be a different color stainless steel. So, you will need to get a Frigidaire hood vent to match it. The other stainless steel hood vents, like Broan or Whirlpool didn™€™t match it.

Cooking as good as gas

Finally, I am able to simmer a dish on my stovetop at a constant temperature, instead of the hot/cold cycles on the burners of a traditional electric stove. The oven works great as well in both baking and convection baking. I am thrilled that we made this investment in our kitchen.
