Functional stovetop with smart features

Great product, the convection oven feature is nice, the griddle in center on stovetop does a great job of making pancakes, the burners are very easy to use, and the WiFi on it allows you to sync with wall hood for stove top exhaust. I also like the ability to preheat the oven on my phone when I'm coming home from work. One thing that could be better is the gauge/strength of stainless, it scratches pretty easily if you drop anything between burners and try to clean it up, I also worry the front panels will dent if anything hits them as well. The gauge of steel seems pretty thin. If you go with this gas stove, definitely get the cafe wall hood or island hood, the CFMs can handle the amount of BTUs this stove puts out. The microwave I don™€™t think would be able to handle all six burners at once.

Coating emits a strong, noxious odor almost indiscernible from gas, and according to GE techs this is expected and normal. So yeah, don™€™t buy this high end oven if you care about that. They made a bad product. Honestly kinda surprising they continue to sell this thing.

So far so good. Been using the oven for about a month and like having 6 burners in a 30 inch range. The double ovens are great. The manual, which must be downloaded, is terrible. What is the temperature setting for the 'Warm' mode? Same question for 'Proof'. What does the resistive element in the upper oven do? The conversion to propane was simple until the lower oven. The fitment of the lower oven bottom was poor which made removal and replacement challenging.

I am somehow disappointed with this purchase. Honestly, I would not recommend this range/stove to anyone; I am really sorry to say that. I was very happy the moment I purchased it and so excited to use it. My first issue, and I have to say it was not (or maybe it was) Cafـ™s fault, but rather the place we bought it from; was the delivery. It was supposed to arrive the week after purchase (November 2025), but instead it was delivered in February 2026. Now, I have to say the stove is beautiful, but that is it. It is not made for cooking. Any spill will stain it, and any wrong movement will scratch it. I even had to buy a protective mat and stainless steel covering for the front to prevent scratches on the outer surface, and I have to be careful not to let water or any other substance get into the edges because it can collect dirt from constant and active cooking. I thought that for the price™€"four thousand dollars™€"I was purchasing a much better-quality stove. I have a family of four, and most of the time I am the one doing all the cooking. Now I find myself almost preventing anyone from using it, afraid they will scratch or stain it. That is not fair, and it is embarrassing. I feel that I would have been better off purchasing something at a regular price, which I am pretty sure can also be good quality and withstand more cooking. Maybe these very expensive stoves are just for appearance and not for families who actually use them regularly, but lesson learned.

Double oven - great, top surface scratches easily

We love the double oven. Seems many manufacturers are moving to a single oven. We opened a case, 23036846. The top brushed stainless steel is easily scratched by the grates. The store model had the scratches, which we commented on, and the delivery/installers scratched our unit. Seems a better design will help prevent such scratches. These scratches a very visible being at the top front of the unit. There are rubber feet but they are at the base of the cook top, not on the grates themselves.

New Cafe range replaced our 18 year old Cafe. We love the newer range that has the 6 burners and dual ovens. Very nice to have the 2 additional burners as we really never used the middle grill on our older range. We like that we did get a grill for the middle with our new range. I also like that when the gas burners are on, the digital control panel is lit up too as in the past, gas burner has been left on. I wish the APP would let a user know if a gas burner has been on for more than X minutes (user could set the alert time). Overall , very pleased with the range.

Oven is a lemon. Turned on the oven for the first time and it started showing a "Fault 350" error on the display. Looks great and the burners work but the actual oven appears to have an issue with the thermometer or fan that I've been unable to remediate.

The stove looks wonderful and the stove top works wonderfully. I really appreciate having six burners and love that it can simmer slowly. The oven racks are a little stiff to pull out and we are considering adding the slide out feature. The oven doesn™€™t seem to bake accurately compared to my electric oven. It takes an additional 10-15 minutes. Are there instructions you could provide as far as which setting to chose when baking and/or roasting?

Great range with great features and capabilities. Capacities are great and the burner configuration and power make cooking dinner an ease. Baking and broiling are spot on. The controls are intuitive and with the app connectivity makes operation a breeze. Having airfry, convection, broil, and other features only available on the lower oven does make visualizing your food difficult because you have to bend over to see into the window. Also, it would be nice if the lights operated independently as is implied in the connected app function options.

I have yet to use this stove. One was installed on Monday but had to be swapped out because there was an electrical problem and the stove could not be used. Today they delivered and installed the new one and the fan in the lower oven is making a dreadful noise. So now I have to wait for the service person to come. WHAT ARE YOU DOING GE??????

Internal gas leak and uneven cooking in upper oven

Honestly not sure how I feel about this one. The double oven feature is very helpful as we host family dinners often, but the upper oven doesn™€™t cook very evenly, the items in center of the pan cook much slower than the edges. We also had a very strong gas smell when pre-heating when we first got it. The Store repair man came out and discovered all of the inner gas workings were loose from the factory and causing a small leak when the oven was turned on. Not very good quality control for such an expensive product, it could have been a very dangerous situation had it gone un-checked.

I haven't had this oven for very long but I love everything so far. I love the quick boil burner! I love the double ovens advantage. I love that there are 6 burners! I love the edge to edge design! I haven't tried any cleaning functions. Also, I haven't been able to connect the oven to wifi so I haven't been able to use the air-fry function. I have used convection and that worked perfectly!

The older style had a long burner in the middle for the griddle whereas this one has two separate with will give you an additional burner to make it 6 and more control over the front and back heat on your griddle. The flame seems hotter to me - medium high was more like high on our old stove. Oven capacity is ample - haven't used the top oven much yet. My only complaint is that our old model came with came will a rolling slide out rack that was included with the stove. This new model has that but you have to pay a lot extra for it. Had I known I would have kept the rolling rack from my old stove and used in in the new one. Convection feature is great and the broiler in the bottom oven is awesome. I didn't like having to sign up for the app just to use the airfry feature. Maybe I got it wrong but I couldn't use airfry until I logged into the app - why?? The airfry is not like a countertop airfryer. It uses the convection fan and maybe runs a little higher (?) Not sure the difference. I used it to make some wings but they came out like they did using the convection feature on my old oven. The only difference is that the new airfry feature doesn't require preheating so maybe you save some time there but the results to me seemed no different. They came out great either way. The control panel remains off when not in use but as soon as you open an oven or touch the panel it comes to life. The control panel took some getting used to but very intuitive once you use it a few times.

So far I love this range. It has plenty of power to heat up quickly. The only thing I dislike is it scratches easily and when the grills get dirty, the do grime doesn™€™t come off. It should be easier to clean and I can only imagine what it will look like in 5 years.

We like having the extra burner and the ability to use 2 different oven temperatures simultaneously. The upper oven heats up fast but seems to run a bit hot and/or the small size causes things to brown or burn quicker than in a full size oven. Despite the fact that having 2 ovens is an occasional help, using the lower oven is more physically challenging than expected. We don't use the app because it's main purpose is to send you ads. The stainless trim on top seems to scratch extremely easily compared with previous range so extra care is needed when removing/replacing grates. Control/display panel is ok but could have been done better especially considering this is a high end product. For example when it's off there is no obvious place to touch to activate and you often end up selecting something you didn't want.

I love my new Cafe range with double ovens! I can cook several things at the same time. The air fryer and convection capabilities is amazing! I cooked a turkey in it and all I had to do was put the probe in the correct place and it turned out perfectly. I could watch what temp the turkey was at on my phone the entire time. If you™€™re thinking about getting this range, don™€™t hesitate! You™€™ll love it.

Scratches easily

Cooks great but surface scratches easily. Grates also have a tendency to rust and it™€™s hard to clean. This shouldn™€™t be the case for house much this oven costs. Cooking power is excellent which is why I give it 4 stars.

My new GE Cafe' gas range was installed today and I have to say it is very sleek and looks amazing. It has alot of features I am looking forward to using. The double oven with Convection option is something I had before and really loved. I am really looking forward to trying the air fryer option. The 6 burners on top with the griddle option will make cooking and or using all of the burners for multiple cooking options. I really like the slide in. It allows more cooking surface for large pans and all of the controls are on the front and no need to reach over pots to set oven functions.

Almost Burned Our House Down

I was super stoked to get this CAFE 30" gas range. love the modern look, smart controls, and the double oven setup seemed perfect for cooking multiple dishes at once. But man, what a letdown. About a week after it was delivered, I noticed flames creeping up the back of the lower oven. I yanked it away from the wall and saw it had actually been burning my kitchen wall! That™€™s dangerous and this thing was shipped broken. No way a premium oven like this should have issues this bad. Lucky for me, I was still in the return window, so I sent it back ASAP before it could cause more damage. The idea behind this oven is awesome, but my experience makes me question their quality control. If you™€™re thinking about buying one, check it out thoroughly right after delivery and test it to make sure it™€™s not a fire hazard. I™€™m now looking at other brands like Bosch for something I can trust. Be careful with this one!

30" double over cafe gas (propane) range

We™€™ve only had the range for about two weeks, and so far we™€™re very pleased. The burners ignite quickly, and compared to our previous range, the flame control feels much more precise and even. The oven also heats faster than what we were used to. This week we tested both ovens at the same time for the first time, and it was fantastic. We were able to cook two 18-lb turkeys side by side in the lower oven while preparing additional dishes in the upper oven and on the stovetop. The setup was extremely convenient and made the whole process much easier. The only drawback we experienced was with the lower oven™€™s roast function. My husband couldn™€™t turn it on without connecting and logging into the Wi-Fi app. This isn™€™t ideal for someone who isn™€™t very tech-savvy. Once I downloaded and set up the app, the roast function worked correctly, but the delay impacted our timing for the turkey and our planned dinner schedule. Overall, the range performs beautifully, but requiring the app to access certain functions may be frustrating for some users.

Premium Price, Major Failure Just After Warranty

I purchased the Cafà 30" Smart Slide-In Double Oven Gas Range (Model CGS750P2MS1) because it™€™s marketed as a premium, high-end appliance. Unfortunately, the main touchscreen control panel failed just a few months after the 1-year warranty ended. Now the entire oven is unusable, showing nothing but a bracket symbol on the display ™€" a known issue with this model. I expected better reliability from a brand like CafÃ, especially on an appliance that costs this much. Even more frustrating, I have not yet received support or a meaningful solution. The failure is clearly premature and software/electronics-related, not normal wear and tear. I™€™m posting this in hopes of getting attention from Cafـ™s customer care team. I™€™m simply asking for the company to stand behind its product and assist with repairing or replacing this defective control board. I want to resolve this quickly and restore my confidence in the Cafà brand. I am ready to update this review once Cafà reaches out and helps make this right.

The range is beautiful. The bottom oven works great. The top oven cooks on only 1/2 the side. If you are cooking a pizza, you are getting 1/2 dark brown and the 1/2 undercooked so everything has to be spun around. I have one burner that never wants to light. You can hear the attempt but over 1/2 the time it will not ignite.

Almost Perfect Oven. Well Worth It

so this stove is beautiful. I really like the way the double doors look and it has such a clean look in my kitchen. I do wish they'd had the black finish option when I purchased but this still wound up working out. The burners do get VERY hot, I never really need to turn a burner past level 4. My only complaints about the range are around the double oven configuration having pros and cons: - This is my own fault and prefernece, but the functionality of using the bottom oven is just not ideal-, for context i'm 32 and i literally have to get on my hands and knees to get something out the bottom. Thats fine for now, but I can't imagine doing that in another 30 years. Flip side is I love being able to use the seperate ovens simultaneously, so thats very much a personal preference thing - You can only use ALL the oven functionalities in the bottom oven, that combined with the less than ideal logistics of getting down into that second oven, make this somthing I would have at least liked to know before buying this range. Not to say I wouldn't have purchased but its certainly of note to me now that its here Overall though I am thrilled with this purchase, its as close to a 'real' commercial experience as you're gonna get at this price range. And fingers crossed, I don't see myself needing to buy another stove any time soon (baring the health of my knees). The additional feautres are nice and I'm hoping the new steak and roasted veggies will be pushed to use on this unit soon ;)
